What is a Family Partner for Deaf and Hard-of-Hearing (DHH)?

The Family Partnership is part of the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services (DHSS). Employed by the Family Partnership, the Family Partner DHH is a parent of a child who is deaf or hard-of-hearing. The Family partner DHH offers parent-to-parent support to families with an infant newly diagnosed as deaf or hard-of-hearing. The Family Partner DHH can provide resource information, the opportunity to network with other families, and emotional support as only other parents/caregivers can offer.
