Food may continue to be served at schools during the summer months through the United States Department of Agriculture’s School Lunch Program, which is separate from the summer food program. Some charitable organizations, such as the Salvation Army or churches in the community may operate feeding sites as well, but these are not sponsored by the summer food program. That is why it is important to check the SFSP website.
