I don’t know where to begin. Are there some existing maps I can use as a base for my project?

There are several existing maps stored on the GIS server under M:\GISDATA\ ArcMapTemplates. If you have the GHERM dataset, you can use gherm/gherm.mxd. If you do not have access to the DHSS GIS server or the GHERM dataset, you may contact us for more information on where to begin.
