If a regular muffin were switched to a whole grain muffin, would it still be considered a sweet item?
Technically, the whole grain muffin is still a sweet item. However, exceptions may be made with items that are overall healthy with a moderate amount of sugar, and will be evaluated on a case by case basis. If the recipe is modified to limit the amount of sugar per serving, please submit the recipe with the application packet for evaluation.
